some months ago i got really interested in gemini://, which in simple terms you can think of as a modern version of an old competitor to the web as we see it now. our web has https:// as the beginning to most urls, whereas gemini has "gemini://" there instead. gemini is less technically capable than our modern https web, it can't handle things like embedded videos
